Valerie Perez created the P.A.W.S benefit to help the unhoused pets in Fire Island 9and beyond) that need health care and safe spaces.

The process of caring for these stray cats and dogs requires funds for food, shelter and veterinary visits, so this event was a lifeline for many animals.

Hosted by there legendary Sal Piro, the P.A.W.S events showcased community talent that gave a fabulous show every year to keep the critter crusade funded and able to continue their important work.
